Social Media & Website Content Support for Hive of Hope

Overview

social media case study

As a volunteer for Hive of Hope, I supported ongoing digital outreachevent promotion, and website event coordination across the organization’s website and Facebook page. My role focused on maintaining event visibility, coordinating promotional content, and supporting consistent communication for recurring programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events.

Hive of Hope already had an established logobranding direction, and Wix website in place. My contributions focused specifically on digital outreach supportevent publishing, and promotional coordination rather than overall brand or website development.

Responsibilities included website event updatesFacebook promotion schedulingrecurring event communication, and support for community outreach initiatives.

The Challenge

  • Frequent recurring events required continuous promotion and updates
  • Event information needed to remain consistent across the website and Facebook
  • Outreach efforts supported multiple event types with different audiences and goals
  • Community engagement depended on timely, visible, and organized communication
  • Digital outreach efforts involved collaboration across multiple contributors and volunteers

Approach

1. Website Event Coordination

I maintained and updated event information on the Hive of Hope Wix website to ensure accurate and current community-facing event communication.

This included:

  • Updating recurring monthly events
  • Posting volunteer opportunities and special event announcements
  • Coordinating timing between website and Facebook updates
  • Supporting visibility for recovery-focused programming and community outreach initiatives

While I occasionally provided recommendations for content organization, the website’s overall branding and design structure were managed independently outside of my primary responsibilities.

2. Social Media Promotion & Scheduling

I coordinated and scheduled Facebook promotional posts leading up to events to support visibility, attendance, and community engagement.

Promotional support included:

  • Monthly hikes
  • Recovery brunches
  • Fresh Taste events
  • Friday meetups
  • Monthly movie nights
  • Sober camping trips
  • Memorial Day BBQs
  • Chili Cook-Off fundraiser
  • Volunteer events supporting the City Mission
  • Additional seasonal and community outreach initiatives

Posts were scheduled strategically in advance to maintain consistent communication and ongoing engagement.

3. Community Outreach Support

The outreach strategy focused on accessibilityconsistency, and community-centered communication across digital platforms.

Efforts included:

  • Maintaining timely event communication
  • Supporting recurring outreach visibility
  • Promoting inclusive recovery-focused activities
  • Supporting volunteer participation and fundraising initiatives
  • Coordinating communication across multiple digital channels

Because outreach efforts were collaborative, posting styles and content occasionally varied depending on the contributor managing specific communications.

Results

  • Improved consistency between website and Facebook event communication
  • Increased visibility for recurring and seasonal community events
  • Supported ongoing volunteer outreach and engagement efforts
  • Helped maintain organized and timely digital communication across platforms
  • Contributed to promotion of recovery-focused programming and community initiatives
